Just a quick reminder - if you want to sign up for raids please do so on your main character. If the raid leader needs you to play your alts, he or she will request it. As it stands now and in the past, mains have priority over alts on attendance and loot.

If you have logged in recently (or saw all the spam in guildchat last night!), you might notice we have some new ranks in the guild list. I added a few ranks that some of you have been asking for, and that we need to help keep things running smoothly.

I have created a new rank, Chancellor. Think of this as an assistant guild leader position. The responsibility of the Chancellor is to act as my backup. We have been very successful in keeping a wonderful gaming experience running for many years now. Things can happen in life that pull us from the game from time to time. I don't plan on going anywhere, but it is always good to have contingency plans.

The person who will be filling this role has been with the Mercs for many years. I've found that this person has similar opinions to mine on life, dealing with others, and in how the guild should run. Please join me in thanking and congratulating Twilyte for stepping up to serve the guild in this role.

The second new rank is Marquis. This rank is for retired officers who still want to play, but are not serving a regular officer role. They will be able to assist us and contribute their great wisdom in officer chat, but are not burdened with the duties of an officer, so they can relax and enjoy a peaceful gaming experience.

The third new rank, is actually an old rank, that had drifted away. The rank is Elder. This rank is being revived for Mercs who have taken on guild responsibilities (such as leading raids at times), but are not serving in an officer role.

The fourth new rank is one that many of you older Mercs have been asking for. It is the rank of Veteran. This will be used to recognize Mercs who have played with us for many years. We have some Mercs who have been with us since early Everquest. My warmest regards and sincere appreciation goes out to you who have been with us so long. If it were not for you, the Dwarec Mercs would not be the guild it is today. Thank you.

The fifth rank is an old one, renamed. For now we are calling it Stockade, at least until we figure out a better name. It is a sort of penalty box. When anyone gets a little too passionate in guild chat, and forgets themselves, they might wind up at this rank for a short while until they calm down. It has guild chat listening permissions, but no guild chat talking permissions.

The last new rank is Inactive. It is for members who have not been able to log in for a while. This will help them in getting in touch with us, should they return, but we also know who is playing more readily. If an applicant drifts away and does not log in after a month, they will be de-guilded, but are welcome to re-apply should they return to the game. If extenuating circumstances do come up, let an officer know, and we can extend this time. Life happens and we all understand that. Let us know, if you can, in advance, and things run much more smoothly.

Well, as we waited to spank Thaddius, Nurgle decided he would cast his fishing pole in that green sludge in hopes for a treasure. Of course the excitement spread and as you can see, this was the result.

Another terrific feat for DM! We said we'd take down KT and we did just that! Though he turns into a silly black ball, that's ok we took over his thrown. Bah Bye Buddy. Nice seeing you. /wave Great Job guys!
